How soon will I receive my goods?

In the majority of cases orders received by us before 2pm can be delivered the next day, subject to availability.  Certain items, i.e. of specialist nature, will take longer.  Occasionally these goods have to be ordered from abroad and we will be happy to give you an estimated delivery time.  We are always happy to check availability for you before an order is placed.

What is the difference between a shower tray and a tray former?

A shower tray, whether it is step-in or flush-fit, is a visible tray forming the showering area.  A tray former is installed beneath the flooring of a wet room, whether vinyl or tiles, and it forms the gradients to provide drainage to the gully.

Can I cut down a tray former?

Most tray formers can be cut down and the description of the various formers available on our website will indicate the maximum amount.  First Class Vinyl trays cannot be cut.

Which gully do I choose?

Gullies can be divided into those for vinyl flooring or tiled flooring.  Other options which need to be considered are whether a vertical or horizontal outlet is required; is plastic, stainless steel or plastic with a stainless steel grate your chosen option; the depth of the gully and whether it is for gravity or pumped drainage.

Do I choose an electric or mixer shower?

Electric showers are run independently from the hot water system.  Mixer showers are run off the household hot water system, and can provide an increased water flow rate.  They give the flexibility to have diverter valves and deluge heads incorporated into the showering area.

Which pump do I choose?

Pumps can be decided upon by price and noise level.  Digipumps and the Primo pump are nearly silent in running whereas the Archimedes and Whale pump ranges are a more economical choice.  If a mixer shower is chosen with an increased water flow rate, any increase in the flow rate of water would require a more powerful pump.

When would I consider using half-height screens?

Half-height screens are generally used when a carer is involved in assisting with a shower to keep the carer dry.  Portable carer screens are also available which can be stowed away when not in use.

We are considering installing half-height screens.  Are they watertight?

Manufacturers do provide a seal at floor level, but do not guarantee that the seal will hold back all of the water.  These screens can be folding or sliding and are available in a standard white finish or silver.

Which full height glass screen should we choose to go on a wet room floor?

The majority of glass screens can be installed on either a shower tray or on a wet room floor but for a simple and accessible installation, the best thing is to create a walk-in with a single piece of glass with a choice of fixings, i.e. a tie bar or floor to ceiling pole.
